Fall River is a great place because it has such a fun variety of stuff to do. You can tube on the rapids, bridge jump, swim on the calmer side or in various sized rapids. It appears that we took our daughter in the rapids, but we just held on to her at the end of them. I would not recommend taking a child down the rapids. I've never flipped on the washing machine side, but I wouldn't risk it. I frequently see people flip on the second set of rapids on the opposite side, but they pop right back up. The only time I've been nervous at Fall River is when I jumped straight down in the rapids and got turned around and ended up under a small shelf that was warn away from the water. It pushed me out pretty quick, but I'm a little more cautious now about going too far down.
